Throughout the guide there are many illustrations to help you follow along with the instructions. Everything is explained in great detail so that even if you don’t know anything about solar heating you can still do it.
The guide covers pumps, construction, insulation, and all the other components of the system in plain English. Tom does a good job of avoiding too much technical speak or industry jargon that might confuse the reader. He does a great job of making the guide understandable to the average homeowner.
Are There Any Downsides?
My only complaint is that there aren’t any videos. Luckily the illustrations and directions are thorough enough to follow along pretty easily but if Tom Hayden wanted to improve his guide I would definitely enjoy seeing some videos added.
